Hi there!
I figured now is as good a time as any to catch you up.
When my debut novel came out in 2022, I was happily surprised that so many people loved it. Since starting it in 2017, it was pretty thrilling to finally see it in the world, and to date, I have sold 8,544 copies. I still haven’t made a profit, but I kind of don’t mind as I only expected to sell about 20 copies. 😛
Since then, I’ve kept writing in dribs and drabs. One of the biggest achievements is called Hate Radio, my latest novel that I’ve co-written with Level4Press. It’s historical fiction set in the 1930s, and I’ve learned a fascinating amount about a very polarizing figure called Father Coughlin. He was an Irish-Canadian parish priest with a church in Royal Oaks, Michigan, and he started all kinds of ruckus with his radio show.
Working with the Level4Press team has been a different experience for this panster—they gave me the detailed outline and I wrote to that, going back and forth multiple times to get the story right. It’s currently waiting on the final copyedit. After that, it should be out for early reviews for a few months to get some momentum going. I’m hoping for a summer 2027 launch.
And now? I’m deep in the early chapters of a brand-new novel. It’s still too early to share much, but I’m excited to be writing. It’s about a girl who works in Switzer’s, Dublin, in 1984, and she gets herself into a terrible mess that she has to work her way out of.
So that’s what I’ve been up to—writing, rewriting, working. Maybe my next blog post won’t be three years from now, like the last one! 😀 😀 😀 (Pic is an artsy-fartsy photo hubby took of me last summer.)
